ABERDEEN, S.D. - The Northern State football squad returns to action on Saturday, hosting Concordia-St. Paul in their final NSIC cross-divisional match-up. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. at Clark Swisher Stadium with the Wolves looking for their first win of the season. The Golden Bears roll in with a 1-2 mark on the season, their lone win coming against Minnesota, Crookston on the road in Week 2.
Setting the Stage:
• Northern State (0-3) gets set to host Concordia-St. Paul (1-2) in the final cross-divisional match-up of the season for both teams.
• Both squads come into the game after suffering Week 3 losses, Concordia a stinging 70-24 home loss to No. 2 Minnesota-Duluth and NSU on the short end of a back-and-forth battle at Winona State.
Last Meeting:
• Northern State put up 412 yards of total offense in last year's meeting, but the Wolves' potentially game-winning drive stalled out deep in Golden Bear territory, as CU was able to outlast the Wolves 27-22 in St. Paul.
• The Wolves and senior QB Nick Wanner threw for 277 yards on 18 completions. Receivers
Mark Hanley and Chris Morton caught a combined 11 passes for 162 yards and a TD.
• CU was led by Sam Campbell's 24 carries for 98 yards and Tre Mason's four catches for 85 yards and two TDs from QB Jared Russo.
About the Golden Bears:
• Concordia-St. Paul finished 6-5 overall and 5-5 in NSIC games last season and were picked to finish 10th overall in the preseason coaches poll, one spot ahead of NSU.
• The Golden Bears are 1-2 overall this season, their lone win a 34-24 win over Minnesota, Crookston in Week 2.
• CU is 1-0 on the road and 0-2 at home.
• QB Jared Russo, who guided CU to victory over the Wolves in 2011, is the back-up QB this season, and is 0-4 in passing attempts.
Last Week:
• But for a late WSU touchdown and three missed PAT opportunities, NSU hung tough on the road before ultimately dropping a 32-42 decision at Winona State last weekend. NSU quarterback
Jared Jacobson threw for 200+ yards for the first time in his career and set a new career-best for touchdowns responsible for, throwing for two and running for two more.

• This will be the 12th all-time meeting between the two teams. CU leads 7-4.

About the NSIC:
• The NSIC has expanded once more in 2012 with the addition of Sioux Falls and Minot State as full-fledged members in the now 16-team league. The institutions are the fifth and sixth additional members since the league expanded from 10 to 14 in 2008.
