BILLINGS, Mont. - The Northern State soccer program kicks off the 2012 season at the Montana State - Billings Cup today by taking on the host Yellowjackets.  The contest is the first of two that the Wolves will play in the annual event, as they also face Colorado School of Mines on Sunday.  

The weekend should be a stiff first test for the Wolves, as they go up against two teams with national pedigree to their credit.  The host Yellowjackets are a year removed from NCAA tournament play, advancing to the Sweet 16 in 2010.  CSM also has recent national tournament experience after being eliminated in a shoot-out in the Elite 8 round last season.

NSU begins the home portion of the 2012 slate on Wednesday, hosting Jamestown College in a non-conference tilt.
