Khachirha Tugas scored her first goal of the season in the 85th minute.
Tugas, who missed much of the first half of the season with a knee injury, made her first start of the season on Saturday. The late-match goal came off an Anna Woren assist and drew the Wolves to within two, but with just over five minutes left in the game.
NSU drops to 3-10-2 overall and 2-8-2 in the loop with the loss. UMD moved to 6-6-2 overall and 5-5-2 in NSIC play. The Wolves remain at home to face St. Cloud State on Sunday afternoon. Kick-off at Jerde Field is set for 1 p.m.
