SETTING THE STAGE:
The Northern State women's basketball team are coming off of their first two game losing streak on the season. On Saturday, the Wolves were held to 34.4 percent shooting in a 77-60 defeat to Minnesota Crookston. On Sunday, the Wolves found themselves in a 19 point deficit to MSU Moorhead, early in the second half, before making a charge to tie the game at 60 apiece with 2:36 remaining. However, the Dragons would make free throws down the stretch for a 72-62 victory over the Wolves.

About the Mavericks:
Minnesota State enters Friday's match up with a 10-3 (5-1 home) record, while 6-3 in the NSIC. The Mavericks played travel partner SMSU on Saturday, earning the 65-58 victory in Marshall. The Mavericks are paced by three players in double figures, leading with Laura Weber at 12.1 points per game. Ali Wilkinson and Jennie Noreen each average 12.0 and 11.2 respectively.
