MOORHEAD, Minn. –
The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons used an open weight class and three falls to counter four individual match wins by the Northern State University Wolves en-route to a 30-13 victory over the Wolves Thursday evening in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling action.

The Dragons opened the night with a forfeit victory at 125, then picked up a pin at 133 pounds to take a commanding 12-0 lead.  NSU's Benton Crow gave the Wolves their first win at 141 pounds with a 4-1 victory over MSUM's Brady Schneeberger.

MSUM, however, answered with a victory at 149 pounds and back-to-back pins at 157 and 165 pounds.  The Wolves came back to win three of the final four matches of the night, including a 13-1 major decision by senior Brent Fosheim at 197 pounds.

Sophomore Matt Meuleners finished off the night with a 4-2 sudden victory win in the second overtime of the heavyweight match, but it wasn't enough for the Wolves, who dropped their seventh straight dual.

The Wolves return home for their final two dual meets of the season next week, taking on the University of Mary on Tuesday night and Southwest Minnesota State on Friday.  Both contests are slated for 7 p.m. starts inside NSU's Wachs Arena.
