ABERDEEN, S.D. -  Fresh off their first win in NSIC play and second of the season, the NSU Wolves are rewarded with a road trip to face seventh-ranked Minnesota-Duluth this week, the first of back-to-back games against Top 25 teams.  NSU exploded for 474 yards of total offense in the win, 246 of which came on the legs of junior Kristin James.  James earned conference and national player of the week honors with his second straight 100+ yard rushing effort.  UMD counters with the nation's 9th-ranked rushing defense and 11th-ranked rushing offense.

Last Meeting: Northern State held second-ranked Minnesota-Duluth to a season-low 27 points and forced five Bulldog fumbles (recovering four of the five), but couldn't find their offensive stride, falling to the Bulldogs by a 27-7 margin in the 2010 meeting.  

About Minnesota-Duluth: The defending national champions Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs entered the season atop the AFCA Top 25 and stayed there until a stunning Week 3 loss to Wayne State knocked them down the ranks.  UMD has since reeled off four straight wins by a combined 70 points and has moved back up into the seventh spot in the rankings.

Head Coach Bob Nielson: Nielson has led the Bulldogs to two national titles (2011, 2009) in four NCAA play-off appearances.  UMD has ammassed 85 victories in Nielson's nine-year tenure at the helm.  Nielson also serves as the UMD Athletic Director.

Series History: UMD leads the all-time series 16-12, including the last three meetings since the Bulldogs returned to the NSIC.
