JAMESTOWN, N.D. – After losing their last three matches, the Northern State Wolves traveled to Jamestown looking to regain the momentum that they had when they started off the season 7-1. The Jimmies on the other hand were came into Tuesday night's match up after earning sweeping their last two opponents to improve to 6-10.
The Jimmies gave Northern State all that they could handle in to start out holding a small lead through-out. The Wolves went on the attack after that taking the second set 25-14 to go into intermission tied at a set apiece. Northern and Jamestown split the next two sets before NSU took the final set 15-13.
The Wolves had were led in this highly competitive match by Senior Setter and floor captain Megan Gilbraith. Gilbraith had 35 assists, 22 digs and 3 kills. Leading the team in kills was Senior outside hitter
Jordan Schaffer, who had 20 of the teams 50 kills. Q-Doba female athlete of the week for last week Kaili Aiono led the Wolves racking up 27 digs.
Northern returns home this week for Fridays game with No. 3 Wayne State College (11-0) and Saturdays game with Augustana College (6-5).
