Northern Sttate's dual record at 1-1 with loss

CHADRON, Neb. – The Northern State University wrestling squad traveled to Chadron, Neb. Saturday for a non-conference dual meet with the Chadron State College Eagles, and despite having more wins over Chadron State opponents, the home squad used three Northern State forfeits in claiming a 28-19 victory.

The loss drops the Wolves to 1-1 overall in dual meets on the year.

Freshman Benton Crow earned a 10-4 decision victory over Hagen Guzman at 141 pounds to grab the Wolves first victory of the night.  He was followed by fellow freshman Beau Voegeli who won by pinfall over Lance Jeffries at the 4:18 mark of their match.

Chadron State then rattled off three straight wins, two by forfeit, before Cale Corneman's 8-0 major decision victory over Chris Leak 8-0.

Matt Meuleners was responsible for the last Northern State victory by pinning CSC's Zac Sweeney at the 1:28 mark to close out the Northern State scoring on the night.

The Wolves are next in action on Saturday, December 12th when they take part in the SCSU Open hosted by St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.
