MARSHALL, Minn. –
Junior striker Maggie Fedor scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season to lift the Northern State University Wolves to a 1-0 victory over Southwest Minnesota State Sunday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference soccer action.

The win, NSU's fourth of the season, marked the third straight shutout for the Wolves, who have lost just once in the last nine games, a stretch that also features four double-overtime ties.  NSU is now 4-4-4 overall and 2-1-2 in league play, while the host Mustangs remained winless on the year at 0-9-0 overall and 0-7-0 in the conference.

Fedor's goal came just over ten minutes into the second period, as the junior found the net for an unassisted score from the right side.  The Wolves then held the Mustangs to just four shots in the second half, outshooting their hosts by a 22-7 margin.

NSU goalkeeper Dee Wood was forced to make just one save on the day.

The Wolves remain on the road next weekend, facing off against Minnesota Crookston and MSU Moorhead on Friday and Saturday, respectively.  Both games are set for 1 p.m. kickoffs.
