ST. PAUL, Minn. – The office of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced their women's basketball preseason awards Friday, and the league's coaches voted Northern State to finish 10th in their preseason poll.

Northern State WBB Preseason Prospectus
The Wolves earned 73 points in the poll, trailing the University of Mary who finished with 96 points, and ahead of Southwest Minnesota State who garnered 66 points in the poll.
Minnesota State, last season's national champion, was picked by the coaches to repeat as NSIC Champions. They were picked to finish first in the poll a season ago. They were followed by Concordia-St. Paul and Augustana, who finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Junior forward
Jodi Reinschmidt (St. Michael, Minn.) was tabbed as Northern State's player to watch in 2009-2010. She started off her 2008-2009 campaign with a bang, by notching four double-doubles in her first 11 games of the year before suffering season-ending knee injury. Prior to her injury she was leading the team in scoring, rebounds, and minutes played by averaging 11.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 28 minutes per game.
Minnesota-Duluth's
Jheri Booker was tabbed as Preseason Player of the Year after finishing as Defensive Player of the Year a season ago.
The Wolves open up their season by hosting Colorado Christian as their opening game of the Super 8 Tip Off Classic on November 15th.
