ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State basketball fans will have an array of options to watch the NCAA Men's Basketball North Central Region Tournament this weekend! NSU President, Patrick Schloss, announced earlier this week that Northern State's quarterfinal and, if applicable, semifinal games will be broadcast live on NSU Midco Channel 12. Midcontinent Communications announced today that they will carry all regional games, excluding Winona State games and the North Central Regional Championship, on Midcontinent channel 23, reaching fans in North and South Dakota and parts of Minnesota and Nebraska. Additionally, the NSIC office has announced that the Regional Championship game will be broadcast on FSN North on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m.
The #2 seed in the tournament, the Wolves have an in-state battle with #7 South Dakota in the quarterfinal round on Sat., Mar. 15 at 12 p.m. The third South Dakota native squad making the NCAAs is #6 Augustana College, who plays the 2:30 p.m. quarterfinal game against #5 Minnesota State. The tournament will be held at McCown Gymnasium in Winona, Minn. and hosted by top-seed Winona State.
The coverage on NSU Midco Channel 12 will consist of a live broadcast and play-by-play made possible by HBC Productions of Winona, Minn., Northern State University and the NCAA.
