CHADRON, Neb. - Northern State's wrestling team fell to Chadron State on Saturday on the road. The Wolves, who were shutout 41-0 by CSC last season, won four of the ten matches in the dual before giving up the 26-13 decision. Northern heads to Mankato, Minn. for a meeting with #3 Minnesota State on Monday, December 5.
Several of the matches against Chadron State were filled with energy and decided late.
Jared Little (HWT) lost his match in the last second of overtime. Then
Corbin Surat won at the 125-lb. class with a takedown and pin with eight seconds left in the match. Dave Schiley took the 141-lb. decision on a takedown with 11 seconds remaining in overtime. The dual was a proud display of Northern's improvements and ability to fight.
