Moccasin Creek Complex
General Information: The Northern State softball team utilizes Moccasin Creek Softball Complex, which features four diamonds, and is located just a few blocks east of campus at 1202 SE 10th Avenue. NSU uses Field A exclusively during the season and has made several improvements, including new dugout windscreens and a temporary fence to bring the outfield into the NCAA regulation 220 feet in straight-away center. The facility features behind the plate bleacher seating for fans and indoors restrooms. Â
In the spring of 2015, the Wolves softball team hosted South Dakota’s largest softball tailgate for fans of all ages beyond the outfield fence. The tailgate brought hundreds to Moccasin Creek for food, yard games, and Wolves softball. The tradition has continued as the tailgate finished up its third annual installment in 2017.
