Barnett Center Pool
General Information: Located on the main level of the Barnett Center, the 25-meter pool provides practice space for Northern State University women's swim team. The pool features both men's and women's locker rooms, as well as pool office for the on-duty lifeguard. In addition the pool serves as a practice facility for the Aberdeen Swim Club. The space is also a work-out option for all 15 Northern State athletic programs, as well as an athletic training rehab space.Â
The pool is also utilized for the annual Wolves Tri hosted by the Northern State swimming and cross country programs. Beginning in the fall of 2016, NSU swimming began hosting a Gypsy Days alumni swim meet from the facility.Â
Driving Directions: From HWY 281 South - Turn east onto Melgaard Road, then north onto Lincoln Street. Turn east onto 15th Ave. SE and continue to State Street. The Barnett Center and BC Pool are located at the intersection of State and 15th Ave. SE. Parking is available on the north side of the building.

From HWY 281 North - Turn east onto 6th Ave. (Hwy 12). Turn south onto State Street. The Barnett Center and BC Pool are located on the west side of the street just before the intersection of State and 15th Ave. SE. Parking is available on the north side of the building.

From HWY 12 East and West - Turn south onto State Street. The Barnett Center and BC Pool are located on the west side of the street just before the intersection of State and 15th Ave. SE. Parking is available on the north side of the building.

Aberdeen YMCA: The Northern State University swim team competes from the Aberdeen Family YMCA for all the home dual meets. The Wolves utilize the lap pool section of the YMCA, which houses state of the art scoreboards and timing systems. In 2017, Northern State athletics installed their first season of swimming webcasts for all home meets.
