Vagn Finnsson won the NSIC Championship in the heptathlon and currently ranks 25^th nationally in the event. He tallied 4,983 points with marks of 7.13 in the 60m, 6.93m in the long jump, 11.33m in the shotput, 1.92m in the high jump, 8.59 in the 60m hurdles, 3.97m in the pole vault, and 3:05.24 in the 1000m. His shot put, high jump, and 1000m marks were personal collegiate bests for the true freshman.
