Harrison claimed the 10,000m title at the Drake Relays this past weekend, winning the race with a school record time of 29:51.59, besting the previous 16-year-old school record of 30:43.06 by 51.53 seconds. He was part of a 2-man breakaway that began to distance themselves from the pack midway through the race and he would make the pass for the lead in the final 400m to cross the finish line 2.90 seconds ahead of second place. Harrison’s time on the Blue Oval was a provisional mark that puts himself within the top-40 nationally.
