Carolin (1-0) picked up the win for Northern State on the mound in game three of the weekend series against McKendree, making his second start of the season. He pitched 6.0 innings for the Wolves, including five consecutive scoreless innings after surrendering his lone earned run of the game in the first inning. He limited the Bearcats to only five hits in the game with one hit batter and no walks, while recording a career-high eight strikeouts against McKendree batters.
