Turnquist entered this weekend’s NSIC duals ranked as the No. 11 wrestler in NCAA Division II at 149 pounds. On Friday he earned his third win of the season by fall in a victory over Isaac Ortega of (RV) Minot State in 3:52, prior to the pin Turnquist held an 8-0 lead thanks to a takedown, 4-point nearfall, and a reversal. On Sunday he then scored a 5-0 win by decision over Ethen Doty of No. 9 Upper Iowa, where after a scoreless first period he tallied a reversal in the second and added a takedown in the third before eventually earning the riding time point. With the wins Turnquist improved to 10-1 on the season and 4-0 in NSIC duals.
