Berg placed second in the hammer throw at the Drake Relays. He threw a new school record mark of 70.37m. The graduate student added a 13th place finish in the discus (43.40m), fifth place finish in the shot put (16.40m), and second place finish in the hammer (66.55m) at the Kip Janvrin Open.
