Senior Amanda Madden became NSU’s first Division II era national champion with her individual title in the weight throw.  Madden’s final mark of 19.81 meters (65 feet) goes down as the third best winning throw since the NCAA began contesting the weight throw in 1996.  Any of her top three throws in the contest would have won the meet.  The national title gives Madden her fourth career All-America honor.
