Berg won the hammer throw with a NCAA automatic qualifying mark of 68.60 (225-01.00). The junior broke his own school record in the event by nearly ten feet. Berg holds the third best throw in the nation in the event. He added fourth and fifth place finishes in the shot put (15.90m) and discus (47.50m).
