Tanner Berg won his third straight weight throw title against top Division I talent from NDSU at the Jim Emmerich Invite. He broke his own school record, throwing 21.80m; which leads the national standings by 0.76m with an automatic qualifying mark. Berg added an eighth place finish in the shot put (16.46m). He currently sits atop the NSIC standings in both the weight throw and shot put.
