Sasha Hovind notched the first 10,000m NSIC Championship of her career with a meet record time of 34:55.57, automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Hovind beat the 2017 defending champion by nearly a minute. The time is also a school record time. Hovind also competed in the 5000m coming in second, only .15 seconds behind the leader.
