In his first ever collegiate meet, Northern State University redshirt freshman Cody Hunt began his career at the top, registering an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 53’ ¼” in the shot put to win that event at the North Dakota State Bison Classic on Saturday.  Hunt redshirted the 2007-08 season, and his patience paid off on Saturday.
