Stenberg went 4-0 from the NCAA Super Region Three tournament capturing the 149 pound title, making him just the third Wolf in school history to win a region crown in the NCAA. In day one, he downed Dylan Connell of MSU Moorhead, 10-1, and Ronald Gentile of Lindenwood, 10-6. In day two, he opened with a win of No. 1 seeded Damian Penichet of Upper Iowa. He defeated Penichet in a come from behind 9-3 decision to move on to the region finals. He battled with James Krischke of Maryville in the finals, ultimately winning in a 6-2 decision. On the weekend, Stenberg out-scored his opponent 35-12 and was the only Wolf to go undefeated. He will now wrestle for a national title, alongside Sean Havlovic and Joe Gomez, at the NCAA National Championships in Birmingham.
