Stenberg led the Wolves from the Midwest Classic going a perfect 5-0, en-route to the 149 pound title and a fourth place finish as a team. He recorded two technical falls, one major decision, one decision, and a tie breaker victory. The senior defeated No. 5 Michael Screptock of Tiffin in a 3-2 decision in the quarterfinal round, and bested No. 9 Nick Boggs of Lake Erie in a tie breaker match in the semifinals. Stenberg won the championship match over Jeremiah Lutz in a 20-5 technical fall victory, handing Lutz his first loss of the season. He improved to 12-3 on the year following the weekend.
