Breann Jackson opened competition for the Wolves in the weight throw, advancing to finals after a strong showing in the prelims. The senior opened finals with an 18.54-meter toss, and threw 17.82-meters and 18.44-meters on her next two attempts. After a foul on her fourth attempt Jackson threw for a meet best mark of 18.87-meters landing in fifth overall. The finish marked Jackson's second straight NCAA All-American honor in the weight throw, after she finished sixth in 2015.
