Sasha Hovind finished the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with two top ten finishes, two All-American honors, and two new school records. The Wolves sophomore took eight in her first event of the weekend, the 10,000m run. Hovind finished with a time of 35:00.46, surpassing her previous school record. Sasha was back at it Saturday night in the 5,000m run, a race in which she barely made the cut. Hovind was out for blood jumping a whopping 14 spots to finish seventh overall for her second All-American honor of the weekend. Hovind again surpassed her previous school record, crossing the finish line at 16:47.94. Hovind has solidified herself as the fastest distance runner in NSU track history, with two years of competition in front of her.Â
