Schmidt was a powerhouse for the Wolves at the NSIC/US Bank Baseball tournament, leading the team to a 2-2 record and their first NSIC Conference Tournament victory. The redshirt freshmen was named to the All-Tournament team, as he led the tourney with nine hits, and was second with a .529 average. Jack also tallied five runs scored, six runs batted in, two doubles, a homerun, and a slugging percentage of .824 in four games started. In the field, the Wolves outfielder was perfect with ten putouts and no errors. Versus the Bulldogs, Jack captured the single season hits record with 70 on the year. In game one, Schmidt went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs batted in against the No. 1 St. Cloud State Huskies.Â
