Missy Elkins led the Wolves on the mound in their first victory of the 2015 season, a 5-0 win over Minnesota Duluth. The sophomore tallied her first career shutout, throwing a seven inning complete game for Northern. Elkins gave up only three hits, while striking out three in the game. UMD reached base only by their own efforts as, Elkins did not give up a walk in the game. The NSU ace held the Bulldogs who average .321 on the season and have tallied 22 extra base hits on the year, to just a .120 average and only three singles.
