Swimming

2018-19: Finished her senior season with multiple NSIC championships and one NCAA championship… Won the 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 butterfly, and a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke at the NSIC Championships… Swam in four events at the NCAA national meet; 200 breast, 200 fly, 400 IM, 200 IM… Finished in second place in the 200 IM and 200 fly with times of 1:58.85 and 1.59.78 respectively… Won the national championship in the 400 IM with a time of 4:11.15... Placed third place in the 200 breast… Broke school records in 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 400 IM, and part of the 200 freestyle relay…

2016-17: Captured 13 NSU swimming records in her first season with the program, including the 200 free (1:51.14), 1,000 free (10:33.28), 50 back (26.67), 50 breast (30.16), 100 breast (1:02.69), 50 fly (26.13), 100 fly (54.27), 200 fly (1:58.14), 100 IM (58.22), 200 IM (1:59.05), 400 IM (4:12.99), as well as the 400 medley relay (3:53.47) 400 free relay (3:31.84) and 800 free relay (7:34.10)... Was awarded NSIC Swimmer of the Week eight times... Crowned NSIC Newcomer of the Year and NSIC Swimmer of the year... Finished out the year as a four-time All-American with a third place finish in the 200 yard IM, a seventh place finish in the 100 yard butterfly and a pair of first place titles in the 400 yard IM and the 200 yard butterfly...

Cross Country

2018: Recorded a season best of 22:21.20 from the NSIC Championships…

2016: Finished ninth at the NSIC Conference Championship with a personal best time of  21:12.12 (6k)… earned First Team All-Conference…

Track and Field

2018-19: Notched personal bests of 2:17.26 in the 800m and 4:44.00 in the 1500m… Tallied five top-10 finishes during the outdoor campaign… Took fifth in the 1500m from the NSIC Outdoor Championships…

2017-18: Did not compete...

2016-17: Recorded personal bests of 2:22.88 in the 800m and 4:53.84 in the 1500m…

Personal

Pre-NSU: Hannah Kastigar is a 5-foot-6, distance runner out of Aberdeen Central High School. She was a 5-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles as a prep, under Bill Martens and Jim Appl. Kastigar is a 2013 State Champion in both the 800m, mile and 4x800 mile. She participated in multiple sports at Aberdeen Central, and began her collegiate career swimming at Grand Canyon University. Kastigar will also swim for the Wolves after earning numerous awards in her first two seasons at GCU. She is currently training for the Olympic swimming trials, where she is qualified in several events. She is the daughter of Joe and Elyce Kastigar.
