ABERDEEN, S.D. - Northern State's Laura Snyder (Volleyball) and Brian Sumption (Football) have been named as the Qdoba Athletes of the Week for their efforts on the field of play last week. 

Laura Snyder led the Wolves in their two wins over U-Mary and Minot, totaling 23 kills, with an average of 3.83 kills per set. Snyder also hit a team-leading .645 throughout the week, including a season high .667 against U.Mary. Against Minot, Snyder recorded a career high 14 kills with a .632 attack percentage suffering only 3 hitting errors in all of her 31 attempts. Snyder also added four blocks, one assist, and one dig in the two wins.

Brian Sumption recorded the two Wolves interceptions against Upper Iowa University this past weekend, and almost recorded four with another two pass breakups. The first interception was on the first drive on the game, with the Peacocks deep in Wolves territory, on the seven yard line. The second interception was made in the third quarter on the Wolves sixteen yard line, with an eleven yard following run. Sumption also added a season high five tackles.
