Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football returns home this Saturday for a 1 p.m. match with Upper Iowa from Swisher Field. The Wolves enter the game 1-1 overall and 1-0 at home. The Wolves enter the weekend after a tough road match-up with the #9 Sioux Falls Cougars, falling 37-7. Northern is averaging 15.0 points, 76.5 yards rushing, and 184.0 yards passing. Freshman
Chance Olson had a career day against the Cougars with a career high nine tackles, including eight solo stops, and one forced fumble.
Jake Comeaux tallied 189 yards passing, while
Cody Kraft led the team with 65 yards receiving.
Zech Culbreath notched his second touchdown of the season and led the team with 70 yards off kick returns including a 30 yard long.
Alex Gray leads four Wolves in double figures with 12 tackles this season, including one tackle for a loss.
Cody Braeger and
Quest Parham hold the team's two sacks on the year which came against the Cougars.
