Football Home Opener to be Carried on ESPN3

NCAA Release
INDIANAPOLIS – NCAA Division II today announced regular-season nationally televised football games that will be carried on ESPN3, WatchESPN and the American Sports Network, after the division entered a three-year agreement in 2015 to deliver DII athletics events. For the first time in Northern State University history, the Wolves will be featured in the game of the week versus Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday September 10th on ESPN3.

The 6 p.m. match-up between the Wolves and the Mustangs will be the second annual Northern State University Ag Bowl, sponsored by InsuraCrop. The telecast will be distributed through the WatchESPN App and ESPN3. NSU and Southwest Minnesota State last faced off in the fall of 2014, where the Wolves came away with a 46-43 victory. The Wolves are 22-10-2 all-time versus the Mustangs.

"WE are very excited to be selected as a nationally televised "Game of the Week" for NCAA Division II," explained Director of Athletics, Josh Moon. "This speaks to the amazing fan/community support we receive at NSU and it is great to see the NCAA is taking notice. Our goal will be to have the largest crowd in Swisher Field history and create an electric atmosphere on September 10th. Being on ESPN3 helps showcase the entire University on a national level, and this game will help us continue to spread the good news about NSU!"

For fans in attendance, the second annual Ag Bowl will feature a multitude of family friendly events throughout the day, including many promotions involving agriculture partners from around the area. There will be a Wolves Club tailgate with free food for Wolves Club members, and more exciting activities will be announced later this summer.
