Saturday Marks the 60th Annual Shrine Football Game

Aberdeen, S.D. – The local Yelduz Shriners will sponsor this Saturday's football game against No. 18 Minnesota Duluth. This year marks the 60th annual Shrine football game at Northern State, which is the second longest running game of its type in the NCAA. The Wolves and Bulldogs will kickoff at 1 p.m. from Swisher Field.
 
The festivities kick-off Thursday night, with a Shriner hosted spaghetti feed for the NSU football program. On game day the Shriners will have a variety of different activities running throughout pre-game and halftime. Fans can visit the Shriners in the tailgate lot as well as near the north entrance to Swisher Field where they will have a race car as well as old fashion Shriner firetrucks.
 
International Potentate, Imperial Sir Jerry Gantt and his wife Lisa will be in attendance, as Gantt will administer the pre-game coin flip. Gantt and his wife are from Houston, Texas. The Shriner fun will continue at halftime with parade around the track and halftime show.
 
The Northern State Athletic department and the local Yelduz Shrine invite to attend the game, as all entrance fees will go directly to local Shrine recipients.
