Mankato, Minn. – The Northern State University men's and women's track and field teams opened the first day of competition from the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday. Northern tallied one all-conference performer, four top-8 finishes, three season bests, and eight personal bests on the day. In addition, four Wolves qualified for Saturday's final events.

WOLVES THAT QUALIFIED FOR FINALS
- Jacob Lackas will enter the 60m hurdle finals sitting in seventh with a time of 8.39.
- Itoitz Rodriguez qualified for the 400m dash finals in fourth, crossing the finish line at 49.92.
- Shanice Burrell qualified for the 60m hurdle finals in eight with a time of 8.95.
- Donovan Miller qualified for finals in the 800m run with a time of 1:59.27 in fourth.
ALL-CONFERENCE WOLVES
- Kealy Hill recorded the first all-conference honors of the meet for the Wolves, as the runner-up in the pole vault, clearing 3.55m.

MULTI EVENTS
- TJ Hochstetler and Bryce Malsam sit in fifth and sixth with 2751 and 2738 points respectively through four events.
- Hochstetler recorded marks of 7.35 in the 60m dash (762 pts), 10.91m in the shot put (540), 6.59m in the long jump (718 pts), and 1.92m in the high jump (731 pts).
- Malsam tallied marks of 7.24 in the 60m dash (799 pts), 10.76m in the shot put (531 pts), 6.41m in the long jump (677 pts), and 1.92m in the high jump (731 pts).

Northern returns to Myers Fieldhouse tomorrow for the second day of the NSIC Indoor Championships. Competition opens up at 9 a.m. with the pentathlon, 9:30 a.m. with the field events, and 1:30 p.m. with the running events.
