Northern State University Athletics

Gary Hepperle received his bachelor's degree in 1958 and his master's degree in 1966 from NSU. Hepperle was on the varsity basketball team for three years and was named an All-Conference player.  During his senior year, Hepperrle was the co-captain of the team that was SDIC champion and Region 12 NAIA champion.  He was a member of POK, Letterman's Club and Business Club.

He taught and coached in South Dakota high school for 18 years.
