Dave Pastian graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1972 and had several achievements in NSU football and track.  From 1968-1971, he won titles both as an individual player and in team competition. 

In football, Pastian was Northern State University All-COnference Football runningback, plus he went All-District, All-American and set a season record for rushing.  He also helped the Wolves to become conference champions from 1968-71 and was in the National Championship for both 1969 and 1971.  In track, he set school records in the 440, 880 and 1600-yard relays, as well as 100, 220 and 440- yard dash in 1970. 

Thos accomplishments later advanced Pastian into his professional field as orthopedic trauma consultant for the Syntes Company in Sioux Falls.  He received several awards such as the 1993 Chicago Regional Leaderle Pharmaceutical Representative of the Year, the 1992 Lederle Gold Cup Award the the 1991 Twin Cities District Representative of the Year.
