Northern State University Athletics

Terry Jorde received his bachelor's degree in 1961 and his masters degree in 1967 from Northern.  While a basketball player at Northern, Jorde was a starting guard three out of four years on the team.  He participated in four conference championships, three district championships and was on the team named South Dakota College Athletic Team of the Year in 1959. 

He also participated in college tennis for four years and was conference singles champion for his freshman, sophomore and junior years.  He competed in the national tournament in 1960.
